My Deliverer

Delivered from death

He apparently stole her sting

Delivering also me

I used to praise for deliverance

I used to offer him reverence

Offering prayers & incense

To me the system made sense

Delivered to crucifixion

Self-sacrifice for me

Delivering also you

If only you would see

I used to rejoice for deliverance

I used to grovel in reverence

Your rejection of the system made no sense

I started to feel weird about deliverance

I began to wonder whether he deserved reverence

I stopped with the prayers & incense

To me the system makes no sense

And I remembered fondly that house-of-an-age

Good times of Peace, Arguments of Rage

So he asked me would I be back as we stood on the road

Ya know, back to the comfort and lay down my load

"Unless this road's a circular" I replied to my friend

"I'll not be back in that house, I'm on this road to the end."

This road is my life, that house was my past

And to keep following the road...that's peace at last.

Naturalistic God

I havn't given a poem here for a while,

I'm reluctant to write one now in-case it's not in style.

You see I'm getting married May and so I havn't had the time,

But there's something deep inside me which must be put in a line.

It's not something for the journal or a poem just to be mine,

This one's got to be written now and published without time to refine.

The possible is probable when the mind knows not 'impossible,'

Impossible is improbable without respect for Sensei Possible.

Prison of religious system

Held me in for 2 decades

Then one day, more correctly- night

The bars were shattered by a sharp bright light

I stepped in to it, 'cos frankly it felt good

I opened my arms and bathed as I thought I should

I looked to God...through the bars, in the light

And God was nowhere to be seen in sight

I knew I hadn't had it right

I considered that Jesus Blood had no real might (??)

The light coming through the bars! It shattered the walls.

No blinkers left, I saw It as It was

Was cold underfoot, untrodden

Was warm on my face, enticing

The wind. Natural wind blew in fresh

Instead of the Churchman's synthetic Spirit

Real rain splashed my face

Holy water a poor imitation!

This was my awakening.

My own mental revolution, embracement of evolution.

I awoke to feel and embrace what is as it is

This is what is as it is

Synthetic light of Jesus has it's uses

There's no light like the bright light of natural light
